Aunt Sue's Steak Marinade

My Aunt Sue has used this steak marinade countless times. She originally used it for London Broil. I have since used it on a variety of our steak cuts; Delmonico, Sirloin, Porterhouse...you name it! This is one of Mark's favorite steak marinades. It's so easy to make and has simple ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 lbs of steak

  • 1 tsp seasoning salt or

  • Sea Salt

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp cooking sherry

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients well and pour over steak.

2. Marinate steak at least 3 hours or overnight.

3. Grill or broil steak to desired temperatrue.

4. Let meat sit (covered) for 5-10 minutes.

5. Enjoy!

Notes:

-I usually double the marinade receipe for this amount of steak.

-I use a gallon ziplock bag to mix all my ingredients and then place the meat in the bag to allow for best coverage as it marinates.
